Purpose of Reach Church

To Love God and Love People (Matt. 22:38-39)

People matter to God, so people matter to us!

In accordance with the Great Commission, we believe that we are divinely empowered to communicate the message of Jesus Christ to others. Because when people meet Christ, lives are changed, families transformed, and communities thrive.

Everyone has a story! Your story is no different than many of the people who already attend Reach Church, so we know stepping into a new place can be overwhelming. But no matter your story, we have worked hard to make you feel welcomed and at ease and even at home at Reach Church.

Vision of Reach Church

Together we GROW, BUILDING one another to spiritual maturity, as we live out the GOSPEL.

Hebrews 10: 24 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching”.

At Reach Church our goal is to bring about life change through Christ. To bring about Growth that is building your personal relationship with Jesus and others. Our goal is to help people grow into Spiritual Maturity through Community as we live the “good news” of the Gospel every day. Connecting with community through life groups, men and women groups, kids and youth ministries, bible studies and discipleship is how we bring about life change through Christ and growth in your spiritual walk. Sundays are the primary days for corporate worship, but the Christian life extends beyond just Sunday morning. It is important that you find individuals who you can connect with, who can assist in your spiritual growth and support you. Opportunities such as Groups and Serving facilitate these connections. There is indeed a place for everyone to experience meaningful relationships.

Mission of Reach Church

Our Mission is simple in theory, to make disciples in all nations. Starting here at home with you and others that attend Reach Church. Through the acronym REACH it makes it simple to understand our Mission.

Rise Up

Discipleship

Discipleship is about your personal spiritual growth. Having someone walk with you in your spiritual journey is a biblical principle going back before the times of Christ. Jesus challenged us to mentor people as they walk their spiritual journey.

Engage

Ministry

Ministry offers purpose and meaning, fostering relationships through service. Using our spiritual gifts strengthens each other and the church.

Adoration

Worship

Adoration is about our worship to the Lord.

Connect

Life Groups

Connecting with others is essential. No Christian can function effectively in isolation; we are meant to be interdependent.

Heart

Loving God and People

Our heart is the heart of God, to love Him with all our heart, soul and mind and to love others like we love ourselves.

Statement of Faith

There is one living, sovereign God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Rev. 1:8; Is 43:10—11; Deut. 6:4; Matt 28:19)

Jesus was sent by the Father to die on earth; he was fully God and fully human, yet had no sin. Jesus willingly laid down his life and after three days, rose from the grave. In doing this, Jesus fulfilled the payment of the world’s debt of sin. (Luke 1:31, 35; I Cor. 15:3; 2 Cor. 5:21)

The Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and Son to convict the world of sin and to empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. He lives in every believer and is a constant helper, teacher and guide. (John 14:16-17)

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error, and is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

God created people in his image, and everyone matters to God. (Gen. 1:26-27; 5:1-2)

All people are sinners and need God’s forgiveness (Rom.3:23; 5:12)

Those who confess and turn from their sin, trusting in Jesus Christ, will be saved by grace and become a child of God with the promise of eternal life. (John 3:16-17; Gal. 3:26)

We believe that we are saved by grace alone when God imputes to us His gift of righteousness through faith alone in Christ, who died for our sins. Good works are the result of true faith. (Eph. 2:8-9)

Jesus Christ is the head of the church, and believing people are members (Eph. 4:15-16)

We believe The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic memorial of Christ’s death (I Cor. 11: 23-26)

We believe that Baptism is by full immersion of the believers and is a symbol of their faith in Christ. (Acts 8:38; Col. 2:12)

Jesus Christ will return and there will be a final judgement. (Matt. 24:37)
